lyrics

Don’t go outside. Avoid your whole life. You are finally alone at night but you’re so lonesome. You feel done. You’ve been feeling a little dumb. All used up, worn out and weary.

That is how we live and it is the only way I learn. Giving up, getting burned and still living to tell the tale. So what if I’m lonely. So what if I toss and turn all night. There will be no returning. So I’ve got to let these moments pass me by.

I stay inside. Bury my nose in a book. Cook up a storm. Settle in and watch the tube. I’m not broken hearted. Just a little tired is all. This isn’t starting over, no, it is not giving up.
It is only letting go.
